Vintage Levi’s 501

The Levi’s 501 is a true icon, loved by both men and women across generations. With its mid-rise waist and straight-leg design, the 501 is one of the most versatile jeans ever made.

These jeans are a true vintage item produced more than 20 years ago, before US Levi’s factories closed and production shifted to Southeast Asia. As a result, vintage Levi’s are becoming increasingly rare and have the potential to increase in value over time.

100% cotton — strong, durable, fades beautifully, and easy to repair.

Condition

As true vintage items, these jeans will show signs of previous wear. Signs of wear may include fabric wear, fading, stains, discoloration, or alterations made by previous owners. The exact condition, production details, and measurements are clearly shown in the photos, including the product information card.

Condition is graded on a scale from 1 to 5, as shown in the photos:

Grade 1 – Destroyed

Heavy wear. Torn fabric, large holes, major stains visible from a distance, significant fabric damage, blown-out crotch, or missing elements such as buttons, rivets, or pocket bags.

Grade 2 – Distressed

Significant wear. Holes, thin fabric, visible stains, or discoloration.

Grade 3 – Well worn

Clear signs of wear, such as worn hems (heel bites), worn buttonholes, smaller worn-through areas, or moderate stains/discoloration.

Grade 4 – Good vintage condition

Used but well preserved. Fabric may show wear or thinning but without holes. Minor stains or discoloration that are not visible from a distance.

Grade 5 – Very good vintage condition

Very minor signs of wear, such as loose threads or natural fading from use or sunlight. No holes, no thin worn fabric, and no stains.

The labeled size is shown in the photos. Please note that vintage jeans often differ from their original labeled size due to shrinkage and wear over time.
